9/11/2023 0 Comments Army mos 92aif not the days are usually standard since we dont have to worry about shift work in most cases, so you can take college at night or online. We do get certifications from professional organizations such as Certified Logistician, which helps get a job after the Army, and we tend to have time during the duty day to work on college at work in some cases. On the warehouse side it pretty much covers the entirity of warehouse operations receiving parts from distributors, issuing parts to customers, storing warehoused parts, and all the little jobs that go along with it. Think of it like the administrative side of a garage. working with mechanics to update the maintenance, services, and order parts. On the unit side u/randomguy1411 about summed it up. They also changed the ASVAB scoring requirements a few years ago, so now you get some real "special" cases in the MOS, worst is they took out the requirement to have taken a typing or keyboarding class, so you get some who seriously can't type, which slows down paperwork processing tremendously. Overall its not a bad job, but can be very monotonous. The whole 92 series is very top heavy with far more senior level NCO's than needed, so it will be some time before the promotion thing works itself out. overstength = to many people in the job, which = harder to get promoted. The 92 Series MOS as a whole has been overstrength for years now and with the Army drawing down they are really cracking down on is. E5 tends to be high, but does come down to realistic levels. Promotion points for E6 have remained consistently high for several years now, hence why many 92A never make E6 before hitting RCP. High chance of getting stuck in one side of the MOS for long periods of time, missing out on training on the other areas There is of course the standard special assignments that all MOS are open to as well drill sergeant, instructor, recruiter, etc. Special assignments available for SSG and above: TWI (which I am on now), Defense Logistics Agency (where I will be going to for my next assignment later this year, FEMA, White House Communications. Gain lots of logistics and supply knowledge at unit level, warehouse, brigade S4, and a few other limited availabilty slots that only a handful of people ever see. Transition easily into the civilian market I am a senior 92A and I would say it depends on what her interest are. Do not answer n00b questions on the main boards.
